2025 in Review - All Songs That Made It In My Top 10

Top 10 listens, that is. I thought there were going to be like 3 vk songs in there but it ended up being half the list. Yupp, I've still got it.

#2: Jesus by Laputa (with at least 171 listens)

Comment: The listen count is lowkey inflated because I had to listen to the song repeatedly when I was trying to translate the lyrics. Still haven't uploaded those online... But still, I do really love the song; the whole reason I bothered translating it is because I think it sounds great.

#4 - Meteor by Croix Allcine (with at least 120 listens)

Comment: It feels really calming and nostalgic, even though the nostalgia is for a time I never experienced at all. I don't have much to say except I could easily listen to this on loop for days. I think this was in my top songs last year too.

#5: Darlin' by D'erlanger (~117 listens)

Comment: The new version of the song was in my top songs in 2020, so it's nice to revisit an old favorite it a new way -- albeit with an older version of the song. Revisiting an old favorite in an old way??

#8: Lady With Tears by Angel+Dust (~100 listens, probably much more due to the iPod thing)

Comment: This went triple platinum on the offbrand iPod I had for 2 weeks before losing it 💯 But I played it before and after losing it too. One of my more "I can't show this to anyone else because it probably objectively sucks" songs. And yet it reached #8......

#9: 華 -DEFLOWER- by NéiL (~99 listens)

Comment: This has been one of my favorite visual kei songs for yeeeears, yet this is my first time seeing it in my top 10. Multiple times this year I've declared myself as finally sick of this song, actually, but then I'd go right back to it. What can I say? Peak to me.
